Software Localization
Comprehensive guide for SDL Passolo, the industry standard for translating software resources and maintaining UI integrity.
Project Initialization
SDL Passolo is specialized for software localization. Start by opening the project and reading all instructions carefully, especially regarding text that should remain in English.

Navigation and Filters
On the home page, all titles are displayed with their file names. Use filters like 'strings for review' to define your translation scope once the work is finished.

Segment Translation
Double-click a file to open it. Check for double spaces, full stops, and ensure product names follow the English-only rules where specified.

QA Checking (Review -> Check)
Run 'Checking' to verify tag issues. Studio runs multiple checks: QA Checker, Terminology Verifier, and Tag Verification. Determine if each error is a false positive or a real error.

Verification Settings
Configure check options in File > Options > Checking settings. Ensure you check for inconsistencies and punctuation rules specific to the target region.

Final Reporting
Generate 'Statistics' and 'Check' reports to verify all strings are validated. Reports should be exported in HTML format for delivery.
