Xbench Quality Control
Master the powerful QA and terminology management features of ApSIC Xbench to ensure high-fidelity translations across all file formats.
Glossary Preparation
For .txt glossaries, input source in Column A and target in Column B. Use 'Save As' in Excel to convert to supported Xbench formats.

Importing Files
Drag and drop the files into the Project Properties dialogue box. Xbench automatically selects the right option for known file types.

Project Properties
Verify that all files are correctly listed. Ensure glossaries have 'Key term' checked and ongoing translations have 'Ongoing translation' checked.

Specific Import Options
When importing glossary files, ensure 'Remove duplicates' and 'Key term' are checked. For translation files being checked against the glossary, strictly select only 'Ongoing translation' to ensure accurate verification.

QA Check Configuration
Select the QA tab and check all options under 'Basic' and 'Content' groups. This covers punctuation, consistency, tags, and more.

Running Verification
Click 'Check Ongoing Translation' to start the analysis. Xbench will generate a list of discrepancies based on your selected criteria.

Exporting Results
Export the QA results into a .xls file. This report highlights all potential errors that need review and correction.

Excluding Segments
You can include or exclude ICE segments (In-Context Exact matches) by toggling the checkbox during the QA check process.
